The Law of Ukraine “On Licensing of Certain Types of Economic Activity” regulates social relations in the field of licensing of types of economic activity, defines an exclusive list of types of economic activity subject to licensing, establishes a unified procedure for their licensing, supervision and control in the field of licensing, responsibility for violations of legislation in the field licensing of economic activities.
The state, through authorized bodies, determines the types of economic activity that are subject to licensing, establishes special requirements of a material, technical, qualification, personnel nature for the entity that intends to obtain a license, appoints bodies that issue licenses for types of economic activity and monitor compliance licensing requirements.

- Construction of objects of IV and V categories of complexity - taking into account the features defined by the Law of Ukraine "On Architectural Activity";
- Production of medicinal products, wholesale and retail trade of medicinal products, import of medicinal products (except for active pharmaceutical ingredients) - taking into account the features defined by the Law of Ukraine "On Medicinal Products";
- Production and repair of non-military firearms and ammunition for them, melee weapons, pneumatic weapons with a caliber of more than 4.5 millimeters and a bullet velocity of more than 100 meters per second, trade in non-military firearms and ammunition for them, melee weapons, pneumatic weapons with a caliber of more than 4.5 millimeters and a bullet speed of more than 100 meters per second; production of special means loaded with tear and irritant substances, individual protection, active defense and their sale;
- Production of industrial explosive materials according to the list determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;

- Activities related to the development, manufacture, supply of special technical means for removing information from communication channels and other technical means of secretly obtaining information (the criteria for belonging and the list of technical means of secretly obtaining information are determined by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine at the request of the Security Service of Ukraine);
- Transportation of passengers, dangerous goods by river, sea, road, rail and air transport, international transport of passengers and goods by road transport;
- Foreign economic activity in accordance with Article 16 of the Law of Ukraine "On Foreign Economic Activity";

- Transportation and distribution of natural gas, gas (methane) of coal deposits, its storage in volumes exceeding the level established by license conditions, and deliveries, except for deliveries of natural gas, gas (methane) of coal deposits at an unregulated tariff;

- Production of heat energy, transportation of heat energy through trunk and local (distribution) heat networks and supply of heat energy, except for the production, transportation and supply of heat energy at an unregulated tariff;
