A joint-stock company is a type of business organization in which the authorized capital is divided into parts with the same nominal value, the corporate right to which is evidenced by registered shares in non-documentary form.
Joint-stock companies differ among themselves in the number of shareholders, the size of the authorized capital and the type of share circulation process.
The minimum amount of the JSC’s total capital must be 1,250 minimum wages.
Joint-stock companies are divided into two types: public and private (up to 100 shareholders), forms of activity: open and closed placement of shares, and private JSC – only closed.
A public joint-stock company (PJSC) is a business entity whose shares can be traded on the stock exchange, that is, a “public offer” can be made.
A private joint-stock company (PRAT) is, accordingly, an entity of economic activity, the shares of which cannot be the subject of a public offer.

Акціонерне товариство – це різновид господарської організації, в якої статутний капітал розділений на частини з однаковою номінальною вартістю, корпоративне право на які засвідчено іменними акціями в бездокументарній формі.
Акціонерні Товариства розрізняються між собою чисельністю акціонерів, величиною статутного капіталу та видом процесу обігу акцій.
Найменший розмір загального капіталу АТ повинен становити 1250 мінімальних зарплат.
